About This Tool

The click speed test — often called the CPS test, for clicks per second — measures how many times you can click your mouse in a fixed window. It is a popular challenge among gamers, where fast clicking matters in games like Minecraft PvP.

How it works

Choose a duration (5 or 10 seconds), then click the target as fast as you can. The timer starts on your first click. When time runs out, the tool divides your total clicks by the number of seconds to give your CPS score, and remembers your best.

What counts as fast?

Ordinary clicking lands around 6–7 clicks per second for most people. Above 8 CPS is fast. Beyond that, players use special techniques:

- **Jitter clicking** — tensing the arm to vibrate the finger, reaching 10–14 CPS but hard to aim - **Butterfly clicking** — alternating two fingers on one button, which can double the rate - **Drag clicking** — dragging a finger across the button so friction registers many clicks at once

A word of caution

Very high-intensity clicking techniques can strain your fingers and wrist. Warm up, do not overdo it, and stop if anything hurts. This is a fun benchmark, not a workout worth an injury.

Your best score stays in your browser for the session and is never uploaded.
