About Utilix

Utilix is a free, browser-based multi-tool website built by a senior fintech engineer based in Kathmandu, Nepal. The site hosts developer utilities, Nepal-specific financial calculators, file converters, and AI tools — all free, all running in your browser.

Why this exists

I spent years integrating payment systems, building ISO 8583 parsers, and debugging JWT tokens at odd hours when all I needed was a simple formatter or HMAC calculator. Most online tools either upload your data to a server, require signup, or are plastered with dark-pattern ads.

At the same time, I kept writing Nepal-specific financial logic by hand — tax slabs, BS calendar conversions, EMI tables. These tools existed in scattered Excel sheets and old bookmarks. Utilix puts them in one place, updated every fiscal year, free for everyone.

Privacy commitment

Every tool that can run client-side does run client-side. Your JSON, your PDFs, your salary data, your tokens — none of it is ever sent to a server. This is a technical commitment, not just a policy.

The only tools that require a server call are the AI tools (summarizer, translator), which use the Claude API. Those calls are rate-limited and the input is not stored.

Background

I have been building financial infrastructure in Nepal for over a decade — payment switches, core banking integrations, mobile wallets, and NEPSE-connected systems. The developer tools section reflects that experience: real-world banking context, not tutorial code.
